My family has never really been all that adventurous in the Easter egg decoration department in the past. It has mainly included splattering some very colourful paint on them, to tick a box more so than anything else. All very pleased to be upholding yet another tradition we would then happily tuck into breakfast, discarding our fine art in the bin after consumption.
Not that there is anything wrong with that, of course. That being said, there are so many amazing ways of decorating eggs that we should really branch out at some point. Maybe we need a pre-breakfast snack to keep us going?!
If you want to preserve your eggs for years to come, so you don't have to "waste time" on Easter Saturday, or if you want to tuck into your brekkie first and then paint your eggs, this tutorial on how to blow out your eggs might be worth a read.
Here are a few ideas of how you can add a bit more "umps" to your eggs this year. Make it your own and let this inspire you to come up with other ways of decorating your eggs.
I'd love to see what you come up with and hear what ideas you guys have!
